By road:

•    Autopista del Atlántico (Atlantic toll motorway) AP-9: it joins Santiago with the cities of Coruña, Ferrol, Vigo, Tui and with the Portuguese border.

•    Autovía del Noroeste (Northwest motorway) A-6: it links Galicia with the rest of Spain through Lugo province, and meets the AP-9 near Coruña.
•    Autovía Rías Baixas (Rias Baixas motorway) A-52: it joins Galicia and Spain through Ourense province, and gets to Santiago via AP-9 in Vigo or via road N-525 in Ourense.
•    Autopista (toll motorway) AP-53: it links Santiago and Lalín, where it meets highway N-525 to Ourense.
•    Highway N-634: it connects Galicia and France through the Cantabric coast, and it gets to Santiago through Autovía del Noroeste (Northwest motorway) A-6.

By coach

•    Alsa (902 422 242) and Socitransa (988 410 325) offer long-distance trips to the main Spanish cities, Portugal, Germany, France, Belgium, Holland, Switzerland or Romania.

Santiago bus station is in San Caetano, and you can get in contact by phone at 981 542 416 and 981 542 418.

By train

The train station is at Horreo street, and you can contact the railway company Renfe at 981 596 050 or 902 240 202.

By plane

Lavacolla airport is 10 km away from the city centre, and it offers services such as car renting, taxis and buses. To go from the airport to the city centre by car, you will have to get highway N-547, which links Santiago and Lugo, or motorway A-54, that meets the city orbital motorway. Travide buses connect Lavacolla with the city of Coruña, and Freire buses make the route Santiago-Lavacolla. To check the airlines operating in Lavacolla airport, click HERE

Other nearby airports are Alvedro in Coruña (about 60 minutes away) and Peinador in Vigo (about 90 minutes away).
